The “Tree Planting Festival” in the first Zero-Energy Township in Vietnam

In the warm air of the early Lunar New Year during the Dinh Dau Tet Festival 2017, on the morning of February 2rd, 2017 (i.e., January 6^th in the Lunar Calendar), the heads of the People’s Committee of Ha Dong District and the leaders of Nam Cuong Corporation held a launching ceremony for the Tree Planting Festival in accordance with the teachings of Ho Chi Minh at Le Quy Don Secondary School and Park-Zone A, located in the Duong Noi Township: “Spring is time for the tree-planting festival – Making the country become greener and greener”.

Following Ho Chi Minh’s example, the Tree-Planting Festival in the early part of the Lunar New Year has become a widespread mass movement and traditional cultural activity of people throughout the country.

This year, the Tree-Planting Festival in the Duong Noi Township, which was launched by Nam Cuong Corporation and the People’s Committee of Ha Dong District, has been more meaningful since the Duong Noi Township was oriented to be a green township and the first Zero-Energy Township in Vietnam. The Zero-Energy Township is a township model that maximizes the use of renewable energy, solar energy, wind energy and eco-friendly materials, so that the energy consumption of power plants can be reduced toward zero (Zero-Energy).

It is well known that the Tree-Planting Festival to “Remember Ho Chi Minh Forever” at Le Quy Don Secondary School and the Park-Zone A located in the Duong Noi Township was attended by Mr. Le Cuong – Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Ha Dong District, Mr. Vu Ngoc Phung – Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ha Dong District, the Leaders of Municipal Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee of cities, districts and wards, and the Leaders from Nam Cuong Corporation: Mr. Tran Oanh – Deputy Chairman and other leaders of the Corporation.  This is an educational event that promotes the awareness of young people and the communities of the Duong Noi Township in particular and Ha Dong District in general about the value of trees in protecting the ecological environment, mitigating climate change disasters, and contributing to the building of a “Green, Clean, Beautiful” living environment.

A leader of Nam Cuong Corporation shared that. “The Duong Noi Township was developed by Nam Cuong Corporation based on three values: Harmonious Ecology – Comprehensive Education – Trade Potential. Besides planting trees and greening the buildings, the Eco-well being lifestyle in the Duong Noi Township is also reflected in the Green Thinking and the desire to spread the Green Living consciousness together with the residents in order to create a community rich in humanities and knowledge”.

On the occasion of the Tree-Planting Festival, the first images of the Astronomical Theme Park is surrounding the central Harmony Lake, located in the Duong Noi Township, were introduced to all residents by Nam Cuong Corporation in collaboration with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. As the first one built in Vietnam, the Astronomical Theme Park promises to bring a new and unique place for fun and discovery to all residents of  the Duong Noi Township in particular and the area West of Hanoi in general. The park has an area of 12 hectares with the central Harmony Lake, which is the green lung of the Township that helps to bring fresh air to the residents. Here, the process of the formation of the universe, the solar system, and the constellations is reproduced clearly and interestingly through models and telescope systems for observing the sky and celestial events such as meteor showers, lunar eclipses, and solar eclipses most vividly. The park will be an ideal place for children and the people of Hanoi to visit, explore, study and research.

Besides clearly expressing the philosophy of developing an Eco-well being township, in 2016, Nam Cuong Corporation launched new product lines such as the An Phu Shop-villa and Anland Complex located in the Duong Noi Township.
